To all the “Harbor Masters” that have viewed the boats coming and going in the past year, I hope you have enjoyed the view.
2009 was the first year of operation for duluthharborcam.com and I plan the keep it going in 2010. Although the harbor will be quiet until April, I hope to keep the cameras up and running so that we can view some of the magnificent sunrises and colorful twilight of a “Winter City”.
Thanks for visiting, it has been a great year.
Sincerely, Dennis O’Hara

Thank you so much Dennis for this website, it has really helped a lot of us stay connected with the city and lake so many love. It has provided us with many enjoyable hours of viewing the harbor activities, natures beauty and incredible videos and photos as well as having links to many other Duluth/Lake sites.
I’ll be watching from Princeton!
Thanks for all your hard work. I love this site! You do a great job!
Dennis thanks for the efforts. i visit everyday. You need to get a paypal link up so you can get asome contributions to keep it going. I will contribute.
Dennis -
I also would like to thank you for the great views of Duluth and surroundings. This was a great tool to show my wife & kids the area before we vacationed “up nort’” this past June, and after being there we could watch the Vista Fleet boats from a different perspective than the “Lunch Cruise.”
In the images of the last-ship-in it is amazing that you got some of those angles. Is it possible you walked on that fractured ice for some of them !?! Incredible !
Next year will bring even better things, I’ll wager…thanks again.

love the site look at it every day is the next best thing to being there and you cant
As a Superior-born homie living in the Twin Cities for many years; it’s still surprisingly compelling to watch the light change across the bridge, ship canal, harbor, and point; and to mark the shipping traffic. I take a look at least daily.
I’ll add my appreciation for keeping the cams, website and server up and running.
Totally enjoyed your website during the shipping season. Looking forward to April. Thanks for all your efforts.

Dennis – Thank you so much for this great website. I love Duluth and have passed on my love for watching the ships to my kids. When we can’t be up there we can watch from our home in Princeton. Thanks again!!

Dennis,
Thanks for the cams! I really enjoy dropping in during the winter to see the light change throughout the day during the season that I don’t visit often. Also, I love the time compression videos that you put together. They really show some fantastic ship handling when the footers turn from the fuel dock to back in to SMET.
Cheers!

Hi Dennis, Micki here from Scaffold Service, Inc I was up on the bridge yesterday meeting with my crew that is in charge of scaffolding the tower, it is amazing to now watch our progress on your web cam. My genreal manager said you could even see our guys up on the scaffold yesterday as the cam was zoomed in!
Micki,
Glad to provide the service. It’s going to be a rather cool week but warmer days ahead.
Yes, our guys are now working 24/7 12 hour shifts each, so wish it would warm up a bit for them. They are sure troopers to deal with this cold streak.
Dennis,
Thank you so much for all of your work with the webcams and the websites. I love checking in on my favorite city of the north and that beautiful lake. I regularly share your website with my family and friends. You have a rare and beautiful gift to capture the beauty all around us. Thank you for sharing that gift with us via the web!!
God Bless you for another successful year ahead!
