Hon James L Oberstar arrives Duluth with a Tribute Salute as Mr. Oberstars' funeral took place in Washington D.C.

The Hon. James. L. Oberstar arrived at the Duluth Ship Canal at 9:30 a.m. CDT on Thurs., May 8, 2014. Once the ship entered the Duluth Shipping Canal, the ship’s master will blow a full, formal Interlake Fleet Salute in honor of Mr. Oberstar. The Interlake Fleet Salute is 2 long blasts, followed by 3 short and is maritime tradition, the Bridge will returned the salute.
