Happy New Year!

Just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

2016 was a great year with the Tall Ships Event certainly the highlight.  However, there was one event during the summer that narrowly missed being a profound catastrophe when the Algoma Guardian was snagged in the middle of entry into the canal when a powerful storm blew into town with near 100 MPH winds.

The skill of the crew saved the ship and possibly the bridge during a 5 minute struggle to pass through the canal.  Here is the post from that night.

See story from the News Tribune about the crew and bridge operator

I am looking forward to 2017 and really appreciate all the kind remarks and financial support of out various projects throughout the year.

Best Regards,
Den
