Gooseberry Falls State Park in White
Spring runoff is a great time to visit the most popular waterfalls on the North Shore. I took a walk around the falls just after the latest spring snowfall and found it to be a delightful little hike.

Gooseberry Falls State Park
Although the landscape around the Northland still may look like winter, the rising water in the Gooseberry Rive is an indication that we are actually in springtime. Gooseberry Falls is 20 miles northeast of Two Harbors on Lake Superior and a wonderful and enchanted place to visit.
Yesterday, after the heavy snow, Gooseberry looked like a winter wonderland and walking through the fresh snow seemed to put things into perspective. It really was a blessing to get the snow, at least for an old photographer that is drawn ever closer to God by His Creation that surrounds us every day.
Wish you were there!
