Lake Superior Ice Cover 2/19/2015
Lake Superior has quickly become ice covered in recent weeks and although it is not as thick as last year, the coverage area is getting close at 91.4 % today. No wonder the Ice Fishermen are happy.

Lake Superior Ice Cover
Yesterday's satellite image shows just how much ice remains on Lake Superior certainly a challenge for the lakers and cutters.

Ice cover - Western Lake Superior
This satellite photo taken yesterday shows near 100% coverage, but, I wouldn't want to try and walk from the North Shore to the South Shore just yet.

Lake Superior Ice Cover
Lake Superior entirely freezes over about every 20 years. It looks like this will be one of those years. Just when everyone was getting used to Global Warming!
