Tall Ships Grand Departure
I had the privilege of having my good friend Capt. Tom Mackay escort me around the harbor and out to the Tall Ship departure on Monday. While the view from shore was impressive, I was fortunate to see the departure from the water thanks to Capt Tom. Hope you enjoy this perspective.

Tall Ships Update
With the Tall Ships Festival coming up on just 12 days, the ships are making their way through the Great Lakes taking part in the Tall Ships Challenge. This weekend, they will be in Bay City Michigan.
During the next week I will occasionally post a map showing ship locations. You can also check the Tall Ships Challenge Map.
During the Duluth Tall Ships Festival I will be posting photographs throughout the event several times a day.
The Harborcams will be focused on the activity in hope of bringing it to you as a Real Life and Real Time event.

The Tall Ships are Coming!
With the arrival this summer of a flotilla of Tall Ships in July, the Duluth Harbor will be a mariners dream and a photographers paradise.
I will be publishing a photo book in June that covers the various Tall Ship Festivals in Duluth, including a preview of the 2013 event. While the book will not be available for a few weeks, I thought you might enjoy paging through an e-book version.
The limited edition book will be selling for about $15. Please email me if you want me to save you a copy when they come in. In the mean time, enjoy the online version.
