The 612 foot Cyprus flagged Ocean Freighter "Cinnamon" waits at anchor in Lake Superior until Sunday when it will enter the Duluth Harbor to load grain.
We spent a few days on the North Shore of Lake Superior this week enjoying the fall colors. As it happened, the maple ridges looked to be on fire with the reds, yellows, and oranges of this wonderful season.
After hiking through the woods, I couldn't help myself and rented an airplane the next day to try and capture the beauty of peak colors. The following morning broke to calm winds and clear skies allowing for a great flight and perfect vantage point to photograph the colors. I have seldom scene such a magnificent display of Gods creation all together in one place.
Here is a short video of the pictures taken of this years autumn colors. While it's difficult to present the true beauty of the scenery, I hope this image and the video can give a feeling of the stunning beauty of the North Shore.
