William A Irvin Pilothouse
Once the Flagship of the U.S.Steel Great Lakes Fleet, the William A Irvin now works as a harbor-side museum for tourists and residences alike to view a piece of our nautical heritage.

Wisconsin Point Lighthouse
Since it finally warmed up today, I fired up the photo copter to take a closer look at the Wisconsin Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse, built in 1912 is the most beautiful and unique of the Twin Ports lighthouse and the most difficult to see up close.
Find more info about the lighthouse HERE.
Notice the ice fishing houses further out on the lake.

Welcome to Spring!
UPDATE: 17:00 3/4/2015 - The Alder schedule has been postponed for awhile. Soon though!
The CGC Alder will begin breaking up ice in the harbor tomorrow and will be out for a few days.
Fresh Snow
Even though Spring is just a few weeks away, it's good to see a fresh snowfall. I enjoy taking snowflake pictures like this one every now and then. The wonders of "Little Things" never ceases to amaze me.
Yo can view more snowflakes in my Snowflake Gallery

NEW! Port Map Link
FYI,
In the links box I have added a link to the Port Authority's Harbor Map. The Port Map is very informative as far as identifying locations.
